Has anyone ordered a black bear? And what rock rails are standard?, the pics I've seen online show what looks like a double pipe rail?,

#2 ·
there are photos and video of black bear edition on the fiat chrysler website:

http://media.fcanorthamerica.com/mediacenter.do?method=viewVideo&videoGalleryTOList=64c75e1112793

according to the order guide the rock rails are the same as those that come on the rubicon hard rock. which i believe look like this:
http://www.off-road.com/images/content/Mopar-Rock-Rails-Jeep-Wrangler-Rubicon-Hard-Rock-3-9-15.jpg

I haven't ordered a black bear yet, but I'm getting close to pulling the trigger.
If someone has taken delivery of a Black Bear I would really love to see some pics!!

Was that for an unlimited or a 2 door? I presume that is the MSRPP that the quoted you rather than a 'negotiated price'?
You should check out the thread lightly thread in this forum, I have signed up and will likely use that to start negotiations at invoice -1 %.

I am planning a similar setup to yours: black bear with 3.73 gear/axle ratio, heated seats and maybe dual top group - haven't made a final decision on the top yet though.

I also want a hitch but I figure that I will install my own a fraction of the cost, check out quadratec:
Quadratec Premium 2" Receiver Hitch with Wiring Kit & Jeep® Logo Plug for 07-16 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

There are lots of guides on how to install it on youtube. It looks super easy.

FCA is slow to change. A lot of the products have been available to order as 16MY for months and plenty have made their way into dealers and driveways but not one of their sites has 16MY information up yet....

The subwoofer is no longer on the side of the trunk. It's in the middle of the trunk floor, therefore not sacrificing space.

Dear Robert:
Thank you for your patience.
I have received a response from Jeep Product Management. The factory order system has been updated
to reflect the correct pricing on the Dual Top Group (AEM) for the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport Black Bear.
This is the reply from the manager of Jeep Products:
The error has been corrected and updated code guides went out Tuesday.
Mr. Rowe's vehicle VIN - 1C4AJWAG1GL102156 received the corrected $1,785 pricing so he should be all
set. I verified on the invoice it was correct.

Brief Description:
Dual top option
Comments:
Can somebody please get me an answer or explain the following situation
to
me. I have ordered a 2016 jeep Wrangler Black Bear Edition. I ordered
the
Dual Top option and it shows $2185. when you order the dual top it
omits
the standard soft top and adds the premium soft top. when you add the
black
bear package it includes the premium top. so by adding the BB package
and
the dual top package I feel like I am paying for the premium soft top
twice. a good example of what I am trying to explain is- if you order
the
wrangler rubicon and add the Hard Rock package it includes the premium
soft
top. when you then add the dual top option it is only $1785. they have
deducted for the premium top on that model because the premium top is
included in the Hard Rock package and they are not charging you twice
for
it. In short I should only have to pay $1785 for the dual top with the
black bear package. I called customer care yesterday and they could not
answer my question. My dealer cannot answer the question as well. but
they
all agree that it should not be $2185 with the Black Bear package.
could
you please pass this inquiry along to someone who could get me an
explanation. My Wrangler has been built but not shipped yet. I would
like
to get an explanation before I pay for it. the last 8 on my VIN are
GL102156 thank you very much Robert Rowe

I find it strange you managed to order yours without alpine but others recently couldn't. I was told it was required. Its also not on your black bear package list so it doesn't seem to be included. Wonder why my POC shows it as an option but lists $0. I also find it strange that they show "Air conditioning" as part of the black bear package. If you look at a window sticker of a 2015 base sport model it lists is under the interior features. Its almost as if they are trying to make it look like its part of the package when its really not. Unless its supposed to say auto air conditioning, but even when auto air is added as an option it was always previously listed in interior features even on the X when it was a part of that package. Again I am starting to wonder if this package is worth it, but I guess if you consider the package includes all the sport S options along with the black bear specific options its not too bad considering the S package is $3200. I need to remember we are paying for the features that the sahara already gets standard. I keep compairing it to the moab I bought in 2013, but it was built on a sahara so some things came with the sahara package which costs more on the base price.

Has anyone seen ordered the painted / black hard top instead of the soft top?

The $500 cost of the Premium Soft Top included in the Black Bear package disappears and you don't get credit for it if you upgrade.

Does anyone know the answer?

Just pulled the trigger on a black bear unlimited, hydro blue, lsd, 3:73's, 4:30 n and black roof, side air bags, now the wait starts
We are going to be twins. Ordered pretty much the same thing except I got JKU hydro blue, auto, lsd, 3.73's, 430N, dual black top, heated seats, side airbags, remote start and alpine.

Mine was in D1 as of monday, I need to check again to see if it has started to move yet.

The interior is nice! I like the new cloth seats, makes good for people who seat. Even the backseat was comfortable as I let my dad and brother in law try their hand at the jeep. The accents are darker grey than I imagined too. Once I found all the proper buttons it was very easy and aesthetic

Question about BBE Connectivity Package

When using Jeep's 2016 Build & Price page for the Black Bear Edition, I found that the Connectivity Group is an optional package at $595. Yet all descriptions of the BBE I've found include Connectivity as standard. I hope this inconsistency is an error on the Build & Price pages. Can those of you who have ordered the BBE confirm that the Connectivity Package is included with no upcharge?

Jeep.com showed this on the Build & Price when the Willys Wheeler came out in 2014. It also comes standard with Connectivity, yet is showed up as an option.
The Willys is on its 3rd season now, and they still haven't changed that on Jeep.com.
