Black Diamond Lift Kit?

Has anybody put in a black diamond lift kit? I have been doing a lot of shopping around and think this is the one I want, but I haven't really seen any reviews in the forums. This is the one I'm looking at...

Black Diamond 3" Lift Kit with Shocks for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited JK 4 Door - Quadratec

Just got my '07 4 door JK X, any suggestions?

Bumping for interest, have been lurking for a while and haven't found anyone using this lift, could be a hidden gem, or possibly making a statement that its not great. Anyone know about them?

opinions are only worth the facts you can use to back them up IMO

Nope.

I have been recently doing a lot of research/pricing of different 2.5 lifts.

For $800 you can do better. I don't see many reviews for BD on here.

I chose the Teraflex because I know if I need help or something goes wrong they have a strong support line (so I hear) and many of my fellow peeps on hear chose TF. Also easy to upgrade with their own parts.

For $800-900 TF has a great kit including new shocks. Rock Krawler was option #2
Both highly recommended lifts.

My opinion was based on price and not a lot of reviews on that brand. At least on WF.

Do what you want

i wasnt trying to flame you it justs gets me that a lot of people get on these bandwagon ideas that you need this part or that and its the best way to go when their are a lot of options out their.. BTW your second responce is a lot more helpfull to the OP then the first and was what i was looking for

OP: search Black dimond on the web.. see if they have a website, call the company, if you cant find anything on them call quad and ask them for the info. do research, many many bigger companies have sublets that they sell useing the same things and equipment just sell it under another name.. take sony for example, they actually sell 6 different TV brands but are all made in the same facotry. people do this because if im TF and you hate TF and I sell the same product under another name you might buy that one not knowing its going back in my pocket anyways..

PS. thanks for being a good sport kjeeper

yes it was a late night, ohh my head still hurts a little bit, i guess im just getting old damnit..

but kjeeper does have a point that the more well known lift kits are just that because they have a track record of working

Black Diamond was bought by SuperLift. Peterson's did a lift shoot out in 2007 with the JK and the Black Diamond did very, very well. It was a close second and with cost factored in...best really.

The Mopar 2 in lift was a Black Diamond 3 inch lift with the addition of Bilstein shocks. I'm not sure if the current kit from Mopar with Fox Shocks is a Black Diamond.

That's about all I know about it, but it seems like a reasonable kit based on Peterson's review from way back.

Black Diamond 3" Suspension Lift Kit with AT Shocks is what I'm looking at for my 01 TJ. Cautious about going over 3 inches because I don't want to buy $2000 worth of stuff, and don't want driveline problems. I'm not a serious off roader, just like to run over curbs and mild trails and the occasional mail box sometimes... I do go up some rocky hills but they are small rocks, maybe half the size of a washing machine, and I have made it in my stock jeep with 30 inch tires several times so no biggee. I only want 32 inch tires so I like the 3 inch lifts. I appreciate any advice as I am a novice jeeper and wish to avoid SYE and new drive shafts etc. I talked to quadratec and they tried to steer me away from rough country and towards more expensive stuff. I called a local off road shop today and talked to a guy who worked there a long time and lifts many jeeps. It was 4 wheel parts inc. He told me they have a house brand made by procomp that's pretty cheap ($650 installed with shocks) and that would be fine for me but it's only 2 inches. I wanted the full traction kit 3 inch economy package. It looks pretty complete.
http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits..._pn=FULFTS7503
He said $900 installed? It sells for $557 so I guess $300 labor plus tax? He said they would do an alignment also. That does not include shocks. I will NOT install myself so please don't flame me! I know my limits and don't want to screw this up ok!? I'm liking the black diamond now as it seems a good balance between price and quality?
Please help any advice?
thanks

I started with the Black Diamond 2" spacer lift. No complaints. Although, changed out the front spacers to Teraflex 2.5s to raise the front end a bit more. Not sure how their spring lifts rate
