Black rock wheel defects

I just had a set of Black rock viper 900's (black finish) installed on my '10 sport. I noticed these defects and the dealer has agreed to order another set or let me choose another wheel. Sent the pics to Cragar and they said that it is nomal. The wheels are "as cast" which means that that wheel is pulled from the mold and painted, no machining or smoothing is performed. You get what you get Another member on this board has the tungsten finish and has no issues. I wanted to find out if this maybe a black finish problem

To be honest I take mine off roading quite a bit so I buy cheap steel rims that are easy/cheap to replace. Rims on my jeep will see more than pavement and odds are will get scuffed/bent up so I dont grow all that attached to them to care enough if there is a blemish or 100

I agree with talon, it's a jeep not a Mercedes little knicks and scratches shouldn't be too big of a deal even if you get new rims i still dont think they'll be perfect.
If you dont get stuck, you're not trying hard enough.

I just got my 08 Rubi a couple months ago and 3 out of 5 rims are roughed up already, lol. And I think one might even be bent.

If it really bothers you then try to return them. Technically they are "blemished" products that should be sold at discount.

I take it they were $$$? Idk, mine were cheap too. But honestly, no one but you will ever notice. If it makes you feel better, get another set. If they weren't terribly expensive, just go with it...
