Black Rock wheels-lug nuts

I am purchasing a new set of Black Rock wheels and wondered if I could use the original lug nuts from my 2012 JK with the wheels. I know someone who will powercoat them black for me to match the wheels. Trying not to spend extra cash on Gorilla nuts (pun intended) if I don't have to.

I have a set of Vipers and used the original lugs. No problems. I was also told by DTD that the original lugs are fine to use

Yes, you can reuse the stock ones. I did.

I can't speak for all of Black Rock's wheels, but I know I couldn't use the stock lug nuts for my Black Rock 909s (also known as "D-Windows"--these). They have a center cap that sits over the lugs, and as a result the lug nuts need to be the "open top" type so as to allow the cap to sit low enough. I want to say they were about $28 for the whole set.

I ordered my BR Vipers through DT and got the lugs. Gonna help sell my old ones if they come with lugs.

So you can't use a wheel lock on them?

Yes you can, but you need to get an open type.

It will look something like this:

When DT mounted my wheels/tires, they did mention that there weren't many black open topped locking lug nuts out there, and had to have some shipped in to complete my install.

It doesn't matter if they are black because the centercap covers them anyway right??
