Black XD Series Wheels...Can you wax them?

I had a set of Black XD Series Misfits put on over the weekend. My question is, can you wax them? They are a flat black and not quite certain if it is paint or powder coat.

Thanks!

I don't think you need to wax a flat color. I'm pretty sure they are powdercoated.

Yes. It would be advised, IMO. I believe they are painted. Our Addicts are painted afaik. They get waxed occasionally.

Well there ya go, two opposite ends of the opinion spectrum.

According to the sites that sell them they are painted. Paint benefits from a layer of wax protection. While it may increase the sheen of the paint slightly, I doubt very seriously that you will notice a difference.

you don't want to wax them if you want to keep them matte black.

You can get a sealant that is formulated for wheels. I use it on my matte black M/T Classics, it works great. Don't remember the brand off the top of my head. If you're interested, PM me and I'll look at it when I get home.

Looks like nobody in this forum has advice nor an answer. Did you ever end up calling by chance?
