Blinker has no rhythm

Sometimes I enjoy driving around with the radio off. The other day, while at a long light waiting to make a turn, I had my blinker on and found myself tapping to the beat of the blinker, only to notice that it would stutter in the rhythm. At first I thought it was just me, but at the next light it did the same thing. Not a complaint, just a funny little quirk that I'm going to plant in everyone's head the next time you have your blinkers on. Enjoy

Weird. I wonder why.

I used to have an old volvo that had a device that actually spun to make the blinkers blink. Theyd blink slower when it was really cold....

Never tried to keep a rhythm with the blinkers before. I find amusement when my blinkers are in sync with the car in front of me.

My blinkers do that too. I've never had a vehicle stutter in the middle of having the blinker on, but the Wrangler does it quite frequently.

Recommendation for a new mod, when you do the blinker mod to turn your side lights into blinkers, also cross wire it with your subwoofer. That way you can control the blink rate by selecting the appropriate song.

If you only listen to talk radio then you are out of luck and won't be able to turn.

What are you talking about? I've seen plenty of people that don't appear to understand the purpose of the turn signal. Almost as if they are afraid of giving away too much information by telling the other drivers around them what their intention is.

I've noticed it too. An ever so slight pause every 10th click or so. Perhaps my blinker fluid is low. It still seems to work

Same thing happens to me. I chalk it up to Chrysler engineering prowess that was allocated for the Jeep.

I usually cant get my blinkers to stay on long enough, i suspect theres sand in the self canceling mechanism due to being a rental on the dunes

Seriously, mine does it too, but it's one of those things that after it happens you're like "wait, did I just hear that?" I'll have to pay closer attention.

That's because Wranglers are made in Toledo, not Detroit.

Many years ago Michigan and Ohio fought a war over who would get Toledo. Michigan won...

Although sort of already mentioned, at the last service was the blinker fluid changed?

Kidding, mine does it too.

Just a tip, but make sure that you're parked on level ground when you check your blinker fluid. Also, for what it's worth, I switched over to a synthetic fluid, and now my blinker blinks with no stutter whatsoever, although it does blink a little faster now. And while you're at it, you might as well check your exhaust bearings and grease the muffler.

There is no way I would waste my money on synthetic blinker fluid. Purpose is to lurbicate, not prevent wear. Normal fulid is fine

I havent noticed it in mine yet, but im sure i will someday and it will annoy the crap out of me!

I heard that it could be from clumps in the blinker fluid lines. Worth changing out.
