Blutooth Aux setup

Can anyone recall what you have to do in order to link your device to the Uconnect?

It's your own PIN number (passcode).. just make it up with any 4 numbers of your choice.

Is there a place to enter it before synchronizing? In the phone or Uconnect?

I'm not sure I fully understood the question but you will get the chance to enter it when you try to link it to UConnect the FIRST time. Then after that, you don't need to enter it again, the phone will connect to UConnect on its own.

no, once you start the process to pair the phone, Uconnect will ask for a 4 digit pin number (make it simple, like 1234. It's not a security number) say 1234, now follow the prompts till you start pairing, find Uconnect on your phone, select Uconnect, then you'll have a digi pad displayed, enter 1234, then when the phone & Uconnect recognizes each other, Uconnect will say "pairing complete", now the BT handshake will begin. You'll have 2 pop up boxes that get displayed on your phone, the 1st is a request to download your contacts, select yes or always and ok. The 2nd will be if your phone supports MAP for texting and will be a request to download your messages so that Uconnect can read them to you. Select always or yes and ok.
