Body Armor front skid plate

I installed a custom bumper (not from Body Armor) and am looking for a front skid plate that does not need to be bolted onto the bumper. I was looking at either the Rugged Ridge front skid plate or the Body Armor one:

Body Armor JK-5123 - Body Armor 4x4 Front Bumper Skid Plate for 07-13 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

has anyone installed this skid plate on a non-stock, non-Body Armor bumper? I couldn't find any installation pictures or instructions to find out if the skid plate needs to be bolted to the bumper in addition to some other mounts.

Any pictures would be appreciated too.

Or, alternatively, if you have any other suggestion what front skid plate would work for any non-stock bumper that would be appreciated too.

Thanks so much in advance for any advice on the skid plate.

I have the one from Rugged Ridge. It bolts to the frame as well. It looks good and it was cheap.

Thanks so much!!! The pictures really help. Is your bumper a Body Armor bumper?

Thanks again for the pictures.

I like that skid plate, but since I don't have the Body Armor bumper I am not sure how it would look like and how it would fit. based on your pictures the bottom portion of my bumper seems to be as far in as yours, but I am not sure if it's worth taking that risk to buy that Body Armor. I am sure it would fir, but there will probably be a gap of some sort between the bumper and the plate.

I know this is an old thread but am just wondering how the Body Armor skid is holding up to wheeling?

Great job on the pics btw as it really shows what I was wanting to know.
