Body Armor wrap around light guards

Does anyone have them and do you like them?

Body Armor JK-7135 - Body Armor 4x4 Wrap Around Tail Light Guards in Black for 07-14 JeepĀ® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

I ordered them. I didn't really want to spend this much, however the ones Extreme Terrain had (Red Rock) weren't going to be available till at least July, at the soonest.

They look pretty heavy duty, and that's what I want.

Not sure about the body armor brand. But keep in mind that most secure to the light assembly. So it doesn't matter how heavy duty they are if you wake them the light assembly will still crack. They are mostly for looks. But like I said I'm not sure how the body armor are installed.

They still look like they just attach to the lens. Be really careful with them; you don't want to push that whole cage assembly into your rear quarter panel. That's what has happened to several people here. Something hits the cage and it pushes into the body, where if it just hit the lens, the lens would crack and give.

They look really cool. I'm just too afraid of the potential for body damage. I took the ones that came with my jeep off the morning after I got it.

Thank you both for the heads up, I will definitely keep a very close eye on this.

I am a weekend warrior as well, not to say that something couldn't happen, but maybe my chances are lessened of someone more hardcore.

Thank you both again

You're very welcome!

I hope I didn't offend you by saying that. I, actually, wasn't even looking at it from an offroad point of view. I'm more afraid of someone ramming into it with a cart in a parking lot or some knucklehead backing out of a parking place. To me that seems like the most common place for the guards to go wrong...

Absolutely no offense taken, I truly appreciate when people are brutally honest, I know there is so much to learn.

Sometimes I have to learn not to research the crap out of something and go with my gut

Thanks again Star, Btw I ordered Safari straps and that spiderweb shade, my dogs will love me for it

Not much thought went into that

Has anyone have pictures of these guards installed? I like them because they do look very stocky and thickset in the diameter of the cages.

I installed these yesterday, and I love how they look. The only issue I have is that if you look at them from the top view they are angled slightly inward, and the outer screws stick out farther than the inner screws. Anyone know if this is supposed to be like this? It's a small issue but it's bothering me.

Sorry the pictures all got rotated!
