Body lift question

Hey, whats up everyone...

I own a TJ so i'm not familiar with jk body lifts. I've been searching but havent found many posts on the topic.

A friend of mine has a 2010 or 2011 rubicon which he is wanting to cheaply lift and is looking at getting a 2" body lift for it. He does not wheel it so its mainly just going to be to put a slightly larger tire on for street use.

The exact kit he would be getting is the zone offroad kit from Allen at AOR.

By doing this lift, are there any problems he would have such as any type of hose or connection extensions during install?

Thanks!

In general, folks don't bother with body lifts on JKs. You can do a 2" suspension budget boost cheaply and easily with better results.

I agree... But like the models before anything over a 1.25in bl is a bad idea so avoid that.. so if he does go bl for some reason keep it it that length or lower

Agreed...but since i'm ordering all of my stuff from AOR, they only had a 2" body lift available (nothing smaller) which is why that was going to be the choice...i'm gonna see if i can get him to do a spacer lift instead but have to wait for him to get in the office

A 2" BL is going to cause issues with his TC and Transmission linkage. It will also look stupid on a JK.
