Bought a new 2010 Wrangler Sport today

Probably because of you all and your posts, instead of a Ford Super Duty, I decided to once again try out a Jeep. I drove a new Wrangler -- after swearing off Jeeps. I have had a CJ3B and two CJ7s. Froze to death. It was 19 degrees here today and I had to turn the heat off in the Wrangler. What's up with the "Car & Driver" articles about these things being slow? Slow as a Harley? They have tons of torque.. maybe the writers don't know how to shift a 6 speed. Oh, and loud? I swapped in a 2003 Ford Thunderbird. Stupid fast. I'll miss it, but it was a toy and you can't put miles on a toy and get any resale value. Just get in one of those if you want to hear loud. Jaguar racing engine loud. Jeeps have a bad ride? Oh, really... Again, try out the Tbird, or a Camaro, or a Vette....
All the magazine writers need to just stick it up their nether regions, they have no clue. Get in a 100 PTO horse Ford tractor. That's a bad ride.
Here's the "good" part -- my wife has no clue what I did today. She's out with friends. My new jeep is parked over in my shop. She didn't like the Tbird but she always told me not to get rid of it??? Oh, well. At least I got one day of real enjoyment out of driving it before she comes home and shoots me.

Again, thanks to all of you. Your opinions and many posts really made the difference on whether to give another jeep a try and I am sure glad I did. I am going to have a blast with this thing.

Well it was nice knowing you for the last 38 minutes. You do have a will don't you. Just kidding, once you take her out wheeling, she will love it as well. Just be careful, if she starts loving it too much, you won't be seeing much of her or your Jeep. Congrats

Enjoy it untill she gets home.
Fyi,
My wife wanted me to by the Wrangler (Jan 09) and I would have liked to have had a TBird at least for a extra toy, but she does not like them.

Mine is 2008, X Unlimited 4 Dr HT.

Last Tuesday I snuck off and traded my 08 wimpy Highlander Hybrid and brought a Black Unlimited Sahara home with my wife having no idea. I was a little worried, but it was all smiles when I drove up. I think most women like seeing their men in a Jeep. I missed my 05 and it feels great to be back in the Jeep community.

I'm back, baby!

Congrats Mate!

I traded a convertible for my new '10 JK. My wife wants to trade her car for mine.

I can't get her out of the Jeep. Life is good!

Taught mine to drive standard before we got married. She has driven a couple of standards since then. Mine is not safe! But what's mine is hers and what's hers is hers. You get the idea. She surprises me all the time. Eventually we may be a two jeep family.
