Brand New Mountain edition.

Whats up everyone? I am new to the forum. I bught a 2010 Wrangler Mountian edition June 1st. Live in CT, Hartford area. BTW loving my new Jeep! I m currently doing a semi blackout on it. Cant do much w/ the suspension until the warranty is up lest I want to void it. Is there a lift kit that wont void my warranty? If so and anyone has expierence w/ this please let me know. Thanks.

I was thinking about leaving it bare but those look sweet. I left the orange ones on for about 2 weeks before I pulled them. While I think it looks better w/o them, I did like rep'n the Mountian. I might just have to snag a set like yours.

Not in general, however specific areas will be and it will vary from dealer to dealer.

Robd225,
Nice clean ride. I have a Mango Tango Mtn. (2dr).
Tell me about the scoop up at the wipers. How effective and functional is it? Do you actually gain anything (and what) or is it just for aesthetics?

BTW...mine has the 6spd manual w/3.73 gears -- 2,200 miles on it and I got 18.5 mpg on the last tank! All city driving.

Haden, the scoop is a bushwhacker vent scoop cover paid $43.00 for it. It took about 3 min to install and they claim it forces more fresh air into the vehicle. I liked the way it looked and it does keep leaves out of the vent.

i asked my dealer service manager about this, he said as long as a licensed shop does the install, their dealer would cover any issues under warranty except parts or problems related to the lift. in my book thats acceptable.

As far as my warrenty goes i called the warrenty company and they said 4" lift is as high as i can go. Then what might be your next question is how big of a tire. well they said whatever i can fit under that 4" lift.

However, they get to decide what is "related to the lift." You're thinking the actual lift parts. They could be thinking the driveshaft due to the change in angle, or the axle due to added strain from larger tires, or the transmission due to added strain from larger tires and different shift points. Get the idea?
