Breather vents for axles, transfer case and transmission

Hey everyone. I was looking to extend my breather vent but have been ab;e to find only my front and rear axle vents. I have found another vent but not sure whether it is for the transmission or transfer case. Has anyone done any extension of the breather vents and if they have could you post the pics. Also where was the transfer case and transmission breather vents located? Thanks all..

No tcase breather- if you have a auto it is right next to the top of the bellhousing. Just extend that one up to the top of the engine bay. The rear diff is already high along with the front diff. No worries there. If you have a manual don't worry bout it.

Yea it is a great Idea to move them high on the jeep. I have played u-boat commander a few times in my manual it is damn funny when you sink the jeep in about 4 foot of water

This link is for a custom snorkel mod., but all the vents were raised and added to the snorkel plumbing. You may find some ideas, or not.

The manual gearbox vent is right beside the gearstick, but is not extendable as it has no hose on it at the moment, just a foam filter of sorts.

actually it is extendable...

6spd breather extension.

Just pull out the 6spd cover & rubber boot, it just clips in ( pull from the front of the cover/boot nearest the dash and pull up) and next you will see a metal plate that sits on top of the transmission tunnel. Then you pull out the foam that sits around the shifter. once thats done you will see on the drivers side of the shifter a black cap.

The black cap pulls off easily and under this is a vent. Now you can extend it any way you like. I used a lawn sprinkler elbow and then attached a new 5/16 fuel line hose and ran it up to the engine compartment.

I use these for my breathers for the Diff's and transfer Case - Poly-performance creeper breathers!!! They can be submerged fully into water & mud. The creeper breather will expand and contract to accommodate the increase and decrease in pressure in the diff housing. They clamp on the diff nipples and use a metal clamp to keep them and work like a hot damn!!!
