Broke my tire carrier

After doing a tire rotation I was tightening the lug nuts and heard a loud snap...so I took the spare off and there was a crack on top of the carrier above the stud.
The lug nut wasn't even tight when it snapped, the carrier is a cheap POS.

Tire Carrier

If you don't want to spend a lot of money (Tereflex) then go with the Smittybilt. I have been running this one for over a year with a KM2 35" tire on it. I take it off road a lot and never a problem.

Smittybilt 2743 - Smittybilt Oversized Tire Carrier in Black for 07-14 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

^x2 I've been running mine ever since I got my 35's and it's holding up great! I coupled it with Off Cambers reinforcement kit just for a little more piece of mind...and my spare weighs in at 97lbs!

Dealer wants $495 for a new one,but my dealer is going to see if Chrysler will replace it for free (not holding my breath).
Being from eastern Canada it's pretty much mail order and Canada's monopoly money and shipping is killer on the pocket book.

Not sure if it's cost prohibitive or not but I'll be happy to give you my stock carrier if you pay for shipping. It's either that or it's going in the dumpster as these things tend to clutter the garage if you let them.
