Angry Broken/cracked/chipped windshields?

Over the past 2 years, I have had 2 windshields replaced and one repaired on my JK due to cracks and/or chips. Rocks from vehicles in front of me seem to be the main culprit. Although I did have my antenna crack my windshield after going over a speedbump at work last summer. The angle of the windshield also seems to be part of the problem. I realize that the design/angle of the windshield is one of the characteristics which make the Jeep unique and it should not be altered but, this is my second wrangler and I had the same issues with my 97 (replaced 2 windshield in 4 years). Any one else have similar experiences? Any solutions?

Part of owning a wrangler. I drive a lot of gravel roads. I found that with the all terrain tires sticking out past the fender wells will allow the front tires to throw rocks at the windshield. 6" pocket flares and now the only chips I get are from following to close to others

I had my first windshield chip in nearly 40 years, about 10 days after getting my Wrangler on the road.

On the other hand, my then-new 1968 VW bug was pressed into high mileage road use in pursuit of my job assignment. With a similar steep-angle windscreen, I replaced the glass about 6 times in 3 years. Once I had a slow too plump pheasant indent the safety glass so severely I nearly had the bird in my lap.

I got my recent chip on pavement from a log truck going the opposite direction.

Don't know if there is a satisfactory solution.

Got a nice rock chip in my windshield only 3 ays after I got her. Get it repaired/filled and so far it has not spread.
On my 09 X I got a chip after 3 weeks and the day before the guy was going to come out and repair, I hit a pothole and it split right down the middle so had to get it replaced.
I had 3 or 4 windshields replaced on my CJ-7 because of rocks kicked up by other cars on the road even when in the right lane, driving slower and trying to be careful.
Jeeps are rock magnets and the windshield is the worse. Every time I hear that "clack", I find myself looking for a new chip.
