Budget boost spacer lift how-to / instructions?

Hi all,
I tried searching, but for some reason when I search for "lift how to" the search deletes 'how to' so I get hits for any thread with the word "lift" in it. As you can imagine, that's a lot of threads.
I tried google too but no luck.

Can someone point me to a how to? I looked at the instructions on the Quadratec site, but it doesn't go into much detail. I'm just wondering where to place the jack stands and how much torque the bolts need when reinstalling everything.
I can't tell you how excited I am to install my lift. This is the first real mod I'll be doing!

Search on YouTube for videos by Teraflex. They have several really good instructional videos for installing lift kits, BB's, spacers, shocks etc. they might not have exactly your kit but it will put you on the right path. Search google for 'wrangler shock torque specs' and you'll find threads with all relevant torque settings. Sorry I don't have links for you, I'm on my phone.

I think I put my jack stands on the frame around where the front and rear doors meet.
Pretty sure the torq specs for the sway bar disconnects and shock mounts is 75 ft lbs.

- 2x2 ton jack stands at full height on the frame around half way down the front doors
- loosen wheel lugs
- jack up axle, cradling the diff with you jack
- remove wheels, remove lower bolt from control arms, remove bolt from shocks, remove 10mm bolt from the brake line bracket in front of shock
- slowly lower jack until front axle is at its lowest point, carefully watch brake and abs lines to make sure they do not stretch
- remove springs by applying downward pressure on each side of the axle. They should be a bit loose so it takes a bit of pressure to pull them out
- install your lift kit and reassemble
- torque control arm bolts to 75 and shocks to 56 (check those numbers tho, just going from memory)

The front end is a ton more fun than the rear. Make sure you have tall jackstands, it would have helped. I just installed AEV 2in spacer kit. I found it easier to jack up one side to drop the other farther.

^^ Hold up... I hope you did not torque the lower CA bolt to 75 ?
All lowers are 125 ft lbs. front uppers are 75 ft lbs.

When installing a lift --replacing CA's or not--all CA bolts and TB bolts should be loosened and torqued at the new ride height. This is with tires on the ground.
Not doing so could bind the bushings an lead to early failure. I've also read about handling problems.

what size tires are you running? I am looking for a photo showing the aev 2" kit on a vehicle that has 32" or under size rubber.

Thanks Ken, I made a mistake in my posting by incorrectly referring to control arms instead of sway bar links. Totally my fault .

With the edits above I believe the torque settings are accurate. Please feel free to correct me if not. What you said about loosening the CA and TB bolts makes sense, I didn't do that with mine as I was simply installing a 1" spacer to level out the rake but will remember it for a future lift. Thanks!

Stock 32 on 18in rims for sahara
