Bumper End Caps

I have had my 2013 JKU for almost 3 weeks now and I am starting to make the mods I want to do. I won't be doing any heavy off roading, mostly some light mudding and dirt trails.

Since I won't be a heavy off roader I don't want to invest in a new front bumper right now I want to use my money for some other things I want to do. I was however looking at the bumper end cpas you can buy where you cut the bumper down to make it shorter and put these ends caps in place.

I like the look of the shorter bumper. Has anyone else done this and if so do you have any pics and what are the pro's and con's of doing this?

Thanks!

Stubby kit. One of the cheapest and easiest mods I've done.

+ 1 on the stubby kit. I just did mine as well and it looks great. Very simple to do and the results make such a difference

I have found two brands that offer these, Rough Country and VDP. Any significant advantages/disadvantages to either of these?

Edit: went with vdp as its plastic. RC is metal.

Cue the mass of people asking 1Topp why he didn't cut the 'correct' amount and his response that he didn't feel like cutting into the actual metal so he only went as far as the plastic. Plus, he likes to not look like everyone else.

Well, I just saved us all about 18 hours.

Rugged Ridge. Can't find part# right now but they make black or chrome and with or without the billet insert. Frame is heavy plastic and billet is aluminum. Pop in from the front. Helps catch bugs also. Q-tec makes some under there brand as well. I have been happy with them. Heavy made and do not move or rattle.
