How do you take off the bumper cover on a 2008 jk jeep wrangler? I want to put on the applique bumper trim

Front or rear?

Front bumper has a plastic cover that comes off first, the rear comes off as one piece.

just a few bolts on each.

I took my front off in one shot, but if you're just putting on the applique, I think you only need the plastic off by itself. four bolts on the inside of the bumper just outboard of the frame, super easy.

And here's info on the rear bumper:

Removed my silver/"chrome" bumper covers

Check out post #6...there are photos of where the bolts are on the bumper.

The front bumper has to come off completely in order to remove the plastic cover of the bumper. Otherwise the plastic hangs up on the tow hooks.
