Bumper Repair / Roof Racks

Hello Jeepers,

Very excited first time owner of a 2012 Wrangler Sahara. She made it over a week without incidence but unfortunately has suffered a bumper ding. Other than upgrading to a steel bumper, (which I am strongly considering doing in the future seeing how the stock plastic was so quickly beat up) are there any suggestions on how to reduce the appearence of the scratches and remove the ding easily? Pictures attached.

I'm interested in getting a roof rack for kayaks. Are there any models for the Sahara 2dr that make it easy to put the top up/down without to much hassel? I'm particularly interesting in a model that can accomodate a Thule 897XT Hullavator Kayak rack. I'm also interested in adding a bike rack but haven't really researched a whole lot on either yet.

I'm about 5'2" and do most of my kayaking and biking by myself so the easier it is to get my gear and go the better.

New to the forum so if I posted this in the wrong area I appologize. Thank you for any help/advice!

Scratches are a badge of honor. don't fix it!

Or you could find a Jeep mod shop that pulls stock bumper and tosses them in the garbage daily.

Gobi roof racks expensive but pretty much the best rack out there for a two door, ill be getting one once I acquire enough cash, as far as the bumper search craigslist for a cheap replacement or in the for sale section on the forum most people just give them away for little to nothing

If you have an air compressor, you can drill a small hole at the bottom of the bumper under the ding, and using the air gun shoot some air into the hole. The bumper is hollow, so that may pop it out some. Or leave it and make up a real good story about how you got it.
