Has door surrounds so it creates a gutter system.

New Jersey. I did it the other day, about 50°. It was a real pain bc of the fabric not being able to stretch but me and a friend were able to get the job done. Would I do it again? No. I would def wait for 75°

I know... I am feeling bad...like I stole it from them or something.... not to mention, they gave me a gift card for 10% of my purchase price as a promo they were having at the time. So, I got another $40-ish dollars to spend on another mod.

Typically, my timing on such things is much worse.

Ahhh... I see. It was around 45* or so here last weekend. The thought has crossed my mind lately when we have had those nice, sunny days. I definitely won't be able to wait until it hits 75* here maybe 60* - 65*

That's awesome you got it done. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little bit envious. BTW...it looks f'ing awesome on Jeep, buddy.

I called 4wheelonline today and they are still selling the NX for $556 if you ask them for a discount. I believe shipping was $39....can anyone do better than that before I make the purchase?

When you take the trektop off, where does it go? It dosent fold down like the factory top or the supertop.

does it roll up? do you roll up the rear window section? does it go in a bag?

You'll have to bag the top if you take it off. It folds up pretty small- about the size of the side windows. I dont have mine on yet, so I cant answer about the back window rolling up. I imagine it just zippers off like the side windows. You can create your own bags from fleece or some other inexpensive material. I saw one member here on the forum that will sew bags for you.

The top folds back above the drivers seat.

I hear the JK's dont have this feature. Please check for clarity before purchasing.

Jk has the folding back "sunrider feature". Back window zips off just like other windows

Hey, looks good.
I'm looking at one of these for my 2012 JK 2dr.
Any idea how long it take to take down/put up after it's installed.
Also, if you want to put the hard top back on, how hard is that?

Can't wait to get some warmer weather to go topless!

Bill

can someone post a picture of the trektop nx when its bagged away?

for storage, is the supertop better? just folding itself into the back of the jeep?

I don't consider this top a "take down/put up" top, here's why. If you want to go topless you would remove the top completely and not just fold it to the rear. This top is best used for someone who wants to run a bikini top all summer long and still be able to zip up the windows on rainy days. It doesn't take long to remove the top but if u were looking to go topless for the day and put the top back on at night ur better off with the supertop bc it just folds to the rear of the jeep. If u wanted to put the hard top on u would need to remove the door surrounds that u install with the Trektop.

OK, that's good to know. I need to have it covered at night because I park it outside and we get dew, rain showers, etc. any time. I'll check out the supertop.
I've also wondered about just a cover I could put over it at night so it wouldn't be exposed.

Good info! The summer bikini top is exactly what I am wanting to do, with the ability to zip up the rear in case of weather. Have you ran the top without the doors on? I just have the hardtop and am not sure if the door surrounds are something that would prevent taking the doors off with just the bikini top left.

Door removal won't effect the top at all.

I have it on mine for a while now. I really like this top but as mentioned this really isn't a complete topless option. The Safari section has some mount point that makes it a little more of a pain to completely remove. Not that it is real hard but isn't like a OEM soft top or a Bestop Supertop. But if you want a Summer safari top with easy a easy way to but in windows and a sunrider feature, this is a great top. On a side note, I carry a rear duster instead of the windows in the Jeep for surprise rain. It is quicker to throw on the duster then it is to put in all the windows

Top with the sunrider open and windows removed.

You can drive with the sunrider open with no problems. I didn't have the rear straps tighten, The fold will pull tight with the straps

It gets so hot in Fayetteville in the summer that having nothing over your head becomes unbearable quickly. I rarely used my sunroof in my prior car simply because of the heat from direct sunshine....so I think the bikini option is going to be optimal. I got a quote for $595 including shipping, does that sound like a reasonable deal from those that have it?
