See, that fastback look is what I'm not sold on yet. Like I said, I really like the functionality tho.

I'll have my JKU with Trektop NX at the Uwharrie Jamboree but i'm sure it will be in safari mode!

If you want that OEM look go with the Supertop NX...I bought one for my TJ and really liked it. Had it for about a month, then traded the TJ for another JK. Now I am thinking I want to store the hard top for the Spring and Summer and rock a Trektop NX...but I do have a 2-door and not a 4-door.

Thought about that too, but just have a hard time paying the SuperTop price. Trying to keep cost around 500-600, of which the TrekTop falls in line.

Ah, good point. May just have to do that then. Let me know when you are planning on being there. I believe OH9JK is planning on being there as well and probably prowler9 too.

They are a little bit pricey for the JKU's....then maybe the Trektop NX is the way to go!! I think I am going to pull the trigger very soon on mine. I took the panels out of the hardtop yesterday...made me really want a soft top.

Why 2010+?, what is the cable system?
Sorry, I am also considering a used OEM!

They have a cable system over the door surrounds as opposed to the tucking that was used on the 07-09s. From my research, they are just a better designed top, so that is all I have been looking for.

Maybe i'm confused on this one, I have a 2008 JKU with the NX and it has a cable system over the door surrounds.

I'm referring to the OEM top regarding the cable system, not the NX.

I think I missed this, but, the NX will not come off totally, correct, it will flip back but to remove it like an OE top can't be done. Its windows in or out only?

I've been under the impression that it can be totally removed, but not as easily as an OEM unit.

I put it in cart and it shows price. Got free shipping using my iPad...for some reason, no free shipping from my iMac. This was for a 2 dr.

Ok, that is what was keeping me from getting it. I would like to be able to completely remove it and have it with me in case of a nice pop-up shower.

I dont see why you couldn't do that. It's not a fold-back style, but you can remove it.

Two header clips at the windshield
Two pins at the doors, one on each side
Two straps at the sound bar
Two clips at the back tail gate area

Sounds like if you want a fold back style, you want something more like the Bestop Supertop NX.
Supertop NX

Hope this helps you make a decision for the best top for you (pun intended).

Definately does. Fold back is not a necessity, just taking it completely off and having it to put on jic.

I took it out today and removed rear window and side panels. I went to Wake Forest, a cool spot where we used to ride our 4 wheelers. Of course it's all blocked now with, no trespassing signs every 5 feet. They really don't want us out there. When I put the top back on, it was very loud. As I headed out earlier this evening with the panels out, the rear straps had come loose and I tightened them. I'm thinking that this extra tightening made the top lay on that cross bar. Now it's resting on it where before it rode up about an inch. Tomorrow I'm going to loosen the straps in the back and see if it reduces the noise.

LOL...I always wanted to be an idol! They are Duratracs, 33x12.5x15. Love them and the top...I just need to get motivated to put the windows in for the first time before it rains all next week.

Got my trektop nx today. Wouldn't you know it, 70's all week then today 55 degrees. Takes a lot more will power to get it done when the top fights you every step of the way. Even with the heater blasting.
