buying some mods before the jk.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but been on here a lot and addicted to jk's even though I don't have one yet. So anyways I plan on buying a 4 door Rubicon within probably 4 to 5 months and would like to start on my mods so I have them and can get them on when I get the jeep.
The first thing I would like to buy is a 2.5" lift. I was looking at this lift | TeraFlex Suspensions I will get my own shocks (probably fox). I'm just curious as to if I need to get anything else with the kit? Will this kit make it so the axles are off center? If so should I get the adjustable trackbars for the front and rear too?
Thanks for any help you guys can give. I'm definitely a noob so I'm sure ill have a lot more questions. And I'm pretty jealous of some of the jeeps on here.

I believe it comes with a bracket to center the rear axle but a front adjustable trackbar is a possibility if you want it centered too

Ok. Thank you. The trackbar is probably good to get anyways right? Does it hurt the jeep in anyway with the axle off center?

With 2.5 your front axle will be off center about 3/8
Will it hurt without one ? No but it does help.
The rear bracket these kits offer, it's main purpose is to raise/flatten the TB and help drivability. (Roll center) it does somewhat center the axle.

Is this the kit your refferring to?

TeraFlex JK 2.5 inch Lift Kit, W/out Shocks

If so, it will come with everything to get you started minus the shocks and the exhaust spacers, assuming your new JK is a 2013. Also, to the question of what you can add to it, well, alot! You can always add to a lift and make it better. It depends on how much you would like to add and what you are trying to accomplish. A adjustable front track bar and adjustable front lower control arms is nice to have!

Here is a compribale kit from Rock Krawler that has these two options:

Rock Krawler JK 2.5 Flex System

I am sure you will have a few questions though. If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know! We carry a ton of different lifts and can help you select the right one for you and your needs. Feel free to PM, email, or call us at anytime!

Ya that rk system looks like a better deal. And one more thing on my mind is did anyone who does a lift like this get to keep there warranty and what do I do about putting 35's on and recalibrating my Speedo. With my truck I just got a programmer but I don't think there is one for the pentastar is there?

Sure there is. We have the AEV ProCal that will fix the speedo and TPMS along with other things for $149.95 shipped!

As for the warranty, it all depends on how nice your local dealer is. Some is more mod friendly than others. Also, a 2.5" is much easy to get in under warranty than the more extrem lifts.
