CAL - what does it mean

I just picked up a 2012 JKU. I've been looking through the manual (CD) and can't find what this means.

On the instrument display next to the compass and temp, it flashes CAL. Is this saying that the compass is calculating something?

Thanks.

If I remember right from my commander its to calibrate the compass, think it involves driving in circles.
