lol the CoD is a rubi though, you need rock rails, the star sticker at the back, and painted rims

funny how slappin a sticker on a '10 turns it into a COD versions' twin...

Not to say yours doesn't look nice, but more that a "special edition" wrangler consists of mostly stickers... sad.

Saw a commercial on TV for the COD wrangler, and it said "the special edition call of duty wrangler, with a newly designed interior" or somethin to that effect... seemed a little shady to imply that the new interior was a COD edition thing...

LOL, I thought it was pretty sad to charge almost 40K for a Rube when all they did was slap on a couple stickers that I got on ebay for $7.

He's got an Islander, so he has the rims. He just needs the hood decal, the star sticker, the gas cap cover, and the tail light guards. At that point, the exterior illusion will be complete save for the side steps, which would typically be replaced with rails.

He of course doesn't have the electronic sway discos and so on, but very few folks are going to get down on the dirt to double check his undercarriage.

As for the interior, he's got a "special" "limited edition" "2010 COD Package." Very, very special and very, very limited--only 1 ever produced.

In fairness, I think folks figured out the COD package only adds about $700 to the cost of a Rubi (http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/cal...e-67722-2.html). That package provides wheels, stickers, tail light guards, and the gas cover.

Thus, the reason COD wranglers are up near $40k isn't because of the COD package, but, rather, because they often include other top of the line extras like navigation, leather, etc.

That said, I think the whole video game connection is pretty weak. I could see wanting the Mountain/Islander appointments on a Rubi, but I'd drop those stickers.

Yea he has the rims, but they aren't painted gun metal

and it looks like he already has the light guards, hard to tell from the pic though.

Are you sure the COD sticker isn't supposed to go on the otherside though?

Yep, if you took a fully loaded rubi, the price would be over 40K

You know what? I think you're right . . . compare (Jeep - 2010 Jeep Wrangler Islander) with (Jeep - 2010 Jeep Wrangler Mountain). I always thought they were the same. Guess not.

I don't know about you guys, but I like the "Call of Duty" Jeep. PATO has one at his dealership that is down right gorgeous. I think it is just a matter of time before I trade my 08 Rub for one of them.

I could care less about the video game stickers.(I am not a gamer so who cares)

Love how their grammar is incorrect on the jeep site when talking about the Islander "boosts" a unique hood logo instead of boasts. Sorry come from being a writer. But you would figure they would proof read it first

On the outside, Islander rides on tall 32” all-terrain tires wrapped around 17” Moab wheels and boosts a new Tiki/Islander hood emblem and side step for a look that’s drenched in fun in the sun attitude.

It's certainly good looking--I went with a 2010 mountain edition because I liked those appointments. I'd prefer some more color choices and I'm not a huge fan of the new interior, but I know plenty of folks who feel differently.

The CODs are a limited edition, so they may be hard to come by or may only be available with extras you don't want. Might even be on production restriction at the moment. However, if you don't care about the "official" game connection, just keep in mind you can add all of the doo-dads to a new Rubi aftermarket, as we discussed in this thread!

Is there somewhere I can get the CoD edition hood decal? That is the only thing I like about it!

Yes--it's actually the same hood decal that was used in the 2010 "mountain" edition, and you can find an aftermarket duplicate of it here: (http://www.pixeldecals.com/shop/JK-M...Blackout-Decal).

The funny thing is, if you check out the CoD Jeep (in game), it's got the old CJ dash, and leaf spring suspension, custom MT's (and spacers by the looks of it), and the body of a JKU.

Well the Call of Duty games are not known for realism....

I guess that is supposed to be a witty insult to CoD?

What about sitting on your comfy couch pretending to have sniper rifles, grenades and more is supposed to be realistic? CoD has made more money than any other game franchise for good reason ... immensely popular, entertaining and it has a loyal fan following.
