I want to get the mopar 2" lift kit eventually, is this something I can do in my garage with a single jack and tools or are there things that need to be done that only a shop can do? I always like to do my own installs but I been working on sport cars my whole life so this solid axle thing is new to me. Im not sure if the whole front end has to be off the ground or what
Pretty easy with the right tools.
You do need 2 jack stands To get the frame up as high as possible. Then all you have to do is disconnect the shocks and swaybar links and free the brake/abs (locker lines if equipped). The axle will now drop enough to remove the coils.
This was already answered a few days ago in your earlier thread. But you will need at least 2 jack stands. You need to stop the axles. So you have to raise the entire rear when working on the rear and front when working on the front.
that's weird because I did post a thread but couldn't find it anywhere in my subscription so I thought it never went through that's why I made another. Thanks for the replies. Does an alignment need to be done?
If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.
