Just bought my wheel and tire package, going to be here Friday.

35x12.5x17 Toyo mts on xd strikes 17x9 4.1. BS

Can I put these on for a week with zero lift on the JKU

My lift won't be on till next Saturday (AEV 2.5)

Can I do this if I stay on pavement only and avoid speed bumps and curbs?

You would also have to avoid turns. And cranks in the road. And pebbles. Like mentioned, I wouldn't recommend it.

Man this place has some bad and inacurate information.

Yes you will be fine. Take the front plastic air dam thing off and you will have no problems.

Here is mine with no lift.

Hmmm

Well I at least have a stubby front bumper.

I guess I could go fender less for a week.

Local cops don't bother me since my BiL is one of them.

i'm pretty sure you're going to have to trim the air dam regardless (even after the lift).... no need to remove it completely unless you want it gone / like that look... a carpenters knife or sharp lockblade will do the trick very easily..

i'm not sure i'd run for very long with that setup... i know you want em' on there... but you might be better off waiting instead of f-ing something up...

Ok. Can it be ran that way? Yes. Is it advisable? No. I've seen a post on another forum where someone turned into a funky angled driveway with 35s and stock suspension. Tore up one of the rear tires on the pinch seam pretty good. Can they be trimmed? Of course. But if the lift isn't going to require cutting the pinch seam, then I wouldn't do it just for a weeks worth of driving. I'd just wait. That's my 2 shiny Lincolns.

Could be it's just I think harder to really see them at that height on stock wheels. Always seem almost stock size or the same.

^^^ This.

Patience, grasshopper. Why run the risk? You'll still have almost 9 months to enjoy your lifted, big-ass wheeled Jeep before the world ends on Dec 21.

Ok, since the AEV kit does not come with control arms that will push the rear axle back, he is gonna be in the same place at full compression regardless if the lift is on or not. If the pinch seam is gonna cut the tire with no lift, it's gonna cut it with the lift too.

Just because you read something, does not mean it's true. Unless you have real world experience, why would you pass on rumors? This is the problem with the new jeep world.

You need to remember when someone say's "i did it" and "it worked for me" that there jeep may be equipped different then yours. depending on whats options you have on your jeep determines where it sits stock. For example jk's with a tow package are equipped with stiffer springs, there fore sit higher.

Here's how I see it. If 4fit is wrong, OP has to wait a few extra days to run his 35's.

If you're wrong, OP might f*** up his Jeep.

Seems like a no-brainer.

I gaurantee you'll rub a lot! I have 285/70/R17 Duratracs, ran them for a week without a lift and had some rubbing. My tires are under 33", YOU WILL RUB! ALOT!

Yes bf Goodrich at's. Only rubbed when articulated on rear. I did take the air dam off though. As long as I was on the road , I had no rubbing.
