Can I do this?

I purchased new tires and rims and was wondering if I can put the 5th on temporarily. They are 295/75r16 hankooks with a wheel/tire combo of 93lbs. I am going to order a hd hinge for the 5th but will be a couple weeks. Can I put this on if I don't go off road for a few weeks?

I did this with a 37 and a wheel spacer for a few weeks on road only.
My tire bumps were not touching. If yours are touching you will be fine. Mine would shake a little over bumps.
If you don't want to chance anything just throw it in the back if you have room. I couldn't do this with kids and dogs.

I've been carrying my 35" spare for almost 2 years on stock carrier....no problems yet, but I'm sure it's just a matter of time depending on how bad it gets beat around from off roading or bad paved roads.

Another option is you could just run with the factory spare for a couple weeks.

LOL... Agreed but it's a free option.

Most of my driving is on smooth pavement and once every couple months I do a little off roading but I take it easy.
