Can I Fit These Tires to Stock 18" Wheels?

Narrowed down my tire choice to Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/65/R18 and want to put them on 2012 Stock Sahara 18-inch wheels. Do I need spacers and will the tires fit well on the narrow stock wheels? No lift.

I will use the same tires on new 18" wheels when I decide on one.

(Please no advice to get smaller wheel/tire combo).

Thanks.

You can fit them with just spacers, but you would have a slight rubbing issue if flexed offroading. Add in a small spacer lift, like a TF BB and you're good all around. I have 285 70 17's on stock rims, which are essentially the same overall size when mounted. I got a 2.5" TF coil/shock lift mainly for the extra height and raised look, plus gives the option of 35's down the road with minimal changes.

Thank you. I'd like a small lift down the road, but I have parking garages to worry about it.

The max I could get on my 08JK Sahara without rims/spacers/etc was Kelly Safari TSR 275/65/18. That required just a tiny 1/4" or so adjustment of the turn stop at max turn.

Now 14000 miles on the set with no rubs and stock everything.
