I need to pickup a two-door hardtop and transport it home. I drive a 2010 JKU, and this top originally came from a 2011 two-door. Can I safely install this two-door top on my four-door? Do the holes line up the same way on both? It's about a three hour drive, so it needs to be secure.
Well, I know I have other options. We own a Ram truck as well, so I could easily tow it or possibly even fit it in the bed. I was just curious if anyone had ever tried this fit and if they considered it safe or not.
The side windows of the 2-door are longer which means that so is the mounting flange. The bolts will likely not align and on the front the mounting bolts absolutely don't align. If you value the top and the safety of the drivers behind you put it in the back of your Ram.
