CanBus LED Brake & Turn bulbs.

Found these on eBay a week ago or so, and I put them in with no additional load resistors and I have no bulb out warning or hyperflash.

http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=221323523827
http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=310804508605

Some people had asked about them so I thought I'd make a thread about them. I haven't taken any pictures, but I did shoot a quick video with the hazards flashing.

I don't really know how to quantify it, but they are brighter. The biggest advantage they have for me is the color. I have the eBay smoked housings also, and the colored incandescent bulbs looked a lot whiter than these.

Links are bad because they are from a mobile device. You'll need to repost them from a PC.

Two Red No Resistor Required 3157 3057 20 SMD LED Front Turn Signal Lights | eBay

Two Amber No Resistor Required 1157 2357 20 SMD LED Front Turn Signal Lights | eBay

Here's are good links - if you take the number on the end of the mobile link and paste it in search on eBay it will pull up the auction.

Those are the right ones. Thanks for fixing the links for me. It didn't occur to me that a mobile link wouldn't work on a computer.

It's ok, easy fix. Do the tail lights seem brighter? I've been thinking about swapping the bulbs.

They're definitely brighter, but I couldn't say how much brighter.

I've been thinking about getting these...you've had them for awhile, do they still work properly? Can you give an update? thanks!

So far so good. My left front turn was giving bulb out warnings when it was -20°F, but otherwise they work great.

It did hyperflash on that side when it was cold out, but it was only for the first couple miles. It said left turn signal bulb out on the dash, but after it got warmed up it was ok again.

So are the resistors integrated? A bit spendy but may consider.

Yes, the resistors are built in to the bulbs themselves.

Sounds like a bit of solder shrink or something when it was cold. I have wondered about the built in resistors working, seems like it could be good. I've always liked using a colored LED behind a colored lens - it really makes it pop more.

Would these bulbs work in the side markers as well?

Edit: Nevermind, answered my own question.

I just looked around on amazon and came across these:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HRASFHQ/..._ZENdtb15N0TN4

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007R5Y8DQ/..._.FNdtb0N69T2R

I can't promise they're the same, or that they'll work, but they do look very similar to the ones I got from eBay. For the price, I think it's worth someone else trying them out. I would, but I've already got the ones from eBay.

Thanks! These are much cheaper!! I placed an order from the one on eBay though. I might call the vendor on these one...and might get a set for testing.
I did get these: 3157 CAN Bus LED Bulb - Dual Intensity 26 SMD LED Tower | S series | Specialty & Automotive | Universal LED Bulb Finder | Super Bright LEDs
But it Hyper flashed and too long for the housing, so I returned it.

Awesome! I just ordered some 3157 amber LED's for my front turn/parking lights. Superbrightled's told me not to use CANBUS LED's on a car that doesn't support it. I wonder why...

Just wondering if you're installing a load resistor in each led bulbs? Coz it will hyper flash and throw a bulb out warning...
Which one did u purchased?

I have some load resistors from laying around. I got some 48 LED tower ones from superbright.

Cool! I'm waiting for my eBay order for front-amber and rear-red turn/stop led's (load resistors built-in) that the OP installed. I'm hoping to get 'em today...

I just thought I'd update this. I tried these lights out even though I already had the eBay ones. Two of the bulbs physically broke after leaving them installed for less than a week. The LED towers actually separated from the bases on two of them. Fishing the towers out of the light housings wasn't exactly fun either. I still think the eBay bulbs are overpriced, but apparently there is a reason the $10 ones are so much cheaper.

When applying the brakes do they shine red just as bright as stock?

They're more red and brighter than stock. I'm not sure about using the white LED in the red housing to get red light, but I know the red LED is far superior to the stock white lights.
