Did mine with a $2.50 Target pillow. Took all of fifteen minutes.

The soundbar speakers seem crisper/clearer, but certainly not any louder. The sub seems more thumpier.

Results as expected....not a bad investment of 15 mins and a couple bucks.

Ok, just got back from Chinamart. I bought the stuff and I'm going to "install" it right now. Will report back.

Done. Real easy to do and gives you a tad more umph. It's OK....it's not like adding a sub, but it gives you a nice little bump over stock. Worth the time and cost IMO.

Stuffed the bar with poly today with new kicker speakers. Sounds great. Busted my nose a bit dropping the speaker on my face. But well worth it!

Although way more expensive than a $2 pillow, Dynamat does an excellent job as well.

I can't believe I fell for this ruse but if I hadn't tried I would have never known.
I needed to get rid of that old pillow in the closet anyway.

No difference noticed but with the tiny magnets on those soundbar speakers it's no surprise.

One possible use for all the polyfil in the soundbar would be to use for emergency insulation if you get stuck in a snow bank.

I've been meaning to do this for a while now and finally got to it today. Sub was completely stuck to the plastic surround and this note was helpful!

I tested it without my soft top windows, so it wasn't optimal but the sound definitely has a little more oomph to it, deeper and less tinny than the hollow plastic casing it comes with. Nice little mod.

I bought my JKU used and it has the infinity sound system in it. I will agree the sound bar speakers are not very loud, but I actually think the front speakers and sub sound pretty good. I'm surprised so many people seem unhappy with those.

I did the poly-fill thing in the sound bar and really didn't seem to help too much...I do agree though that that front speakers and sub are pretty loud

The front speakers and sub sound loud until you replace them with real speakers and a new HU. Then you see how loud they are not. Actually the sub was probably the most decent stock sub I have seen yet in a factory set-up.

Holy crap, I have done tons of mods to my jeep and putting Polyfil in the speakers was by far the best I've done. This is no joke, they sound like new speakers. I was very doubtful at first, now I'm kicking myself in the butt for not doing it from the beginning! Thanks for this thread!

I think those that are saying they cant sense a difference may not be putting enough polyfill in their soundbar. I crammed my soundbar full, had to really push the speaker back in to get it seated....and it sounded immensely better. A bit louder, much clearer, no vibration at all out of the stock speakers.

I noticed a big difference.

Poly-filling the front was a royal pain in the ass though.

Picked up some Kenwood KFC-G1620's to replace the stock speakers in the sound bar.. They sounded the best without an amp of all the speakers I tested. $31.99. Now that's a deal.. I expected to pay $129 to $200 for speakers today.. I was blown away with the $32 speakers. Will report back once they are in and poly fill is complete..

Just finished the speaker insulation job using PolyFill material (Walmart Queen Size pillow guts), foam matting, and my all time favourite insulator - pool noodle. I thought this may have been a Jeep forum hoax at first but after a ten dollar total investment and one hour of labour I can actually say that I hear a significant improvement in the system to the point where I have cancelled my Polk DXi650 speaker upgrade...............

k, so I'm gonna try it this weekend. Only b/c I have like 6 old pillows I was gonna throw away anyway, and I need to repaint my speaker covers. If it doesn't do anything I guess it's an excuse to upgrade speakers eventually.
