Hi Jrid32,

Both are good lifts for what you are looking for. You will get better shocks with the Rancho lift. Rancho has put a lot of work into there lift kits and are becoming one of the better on the market. If you have any questions or we can help you out at all let us know. Also Rancho has extended there Rebates until Aug 31st. I will ut a link on here for you.

2-in. PROGRESSIVE SPORT SYSTEM 5000X

I'd go with the rancho kit. They have rebates going on now as well. Probably get the kit for around $400.

I wish my Rancho kit had come with four springs :( I got the previous version, 2 springs and 2 pucks. Ain't bad. The finish on the shocks is taking a beating, but the ride is fine. I had some rear brake line rubbing issues, even with the extension brackets, so just keep an eye on that.

I got the previous kit also.

I would go with the Rancho for one reason, the coils. The tf is a linear coil and the rancho isn't. I think your gonna have more vehicle roll w the tf.

Either kit imo is just a start and not complete.

Oh... Sorry bout that.

Well, if I was going to stay very light weight with stock bumpers, etc. I would choose the TF setup but still add shocks. I do think the TF spring rates would be a better match to a light build. And I would always add shocks as the stock shocks just aren't any good.

I agree I have run the 1.5" TF performance kit as has a buddy and it rides very well for a DD. It will also lift you really close to advertised height ie 2" front and 1" in back. The one Rancho lift I installed was considerably taller than advertised but that was on a TJ.

Daily driver with very little off roading? Have you looked at the AEV 2.5"? This kit with the geo brackets will likely give you the best on road ride out there. My advice would be save your money and get the AEV. Second choice would be the Teraflex, can't go wrong with their stuff! Not a fan or Rancho kits, had the original 2" kit on my 2016 4dr and pulled it off within a month. Still running the XL9000's, but they'll be replaced when I do a AEV or Teraflex kit...
