Cargo Hooks on Stock Front Bumper

I'm looking to change out the stock tow hooks on my front bumper and replace them with more heavy duty D rings - not for towing, but for cargo tie downs and the like. I prefer to keep the stock bumper for now.

Is this doable? Any suggestions for replacement hardware, or instructions?

Something like this maybe?
TeraFlex Part 4803300 - D-Ring Mount by TeraFlex

You'd have to drill holes in the bumper to mount these to the frame, but it seems like this is what you.re looking for....

It's not really possible with the stock bumper. There are crush cans that the stock hooks mount around.

Let me switch to the pc and I should be able to get some pics.

totally off topic but the cutoff wheel in the second to last pic looks like a pneumatic flashlight.

now, back to your regularly scheduled thread topic...

I'll second that observation.
It also gave me pause.

You see the air spins this little thing that generates the power so you don't need batteries!
PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE AIR COMPRESSOR BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!

Putting those things on a stock bumper would be a tough mod unless you are really good with a cutting wheel.

Yeah that's what I was worried about.

Where's the best place near the front bumper to tie down some ratchet straps?

Just hook it underneath. Make sure you catch the steel though.
