Cargo nets for rear doors

So I got my new JK yesterday and have the doors and roof of but am worried about my hound. She is in the back (with the back seats folded down) and loves to stick her head out of the door opening just like she did through the back window of my old set of wheels but I am a little worried than she'll get too close to the edge and slip or she'll misjudge the lean on a corner and fall out. I have seen the cargo nets that are available and searched the forums for previous cargo net threads but was wondering if anyone knows of a cargo net that covers the side rear window, the back AND the rear door openings ??

Unlikely I know but if anyone would know, it'll be one of you guys (and gals).

Thanks

I have a leash around my roll bar and my dog (Dobermann) wears a padded leather harness connected to it. He can move anywhere, stick his head out the rear window, and lay down in the back of a 4dr, but he is restrained from coming through the front in a quick stop or accident. IMO better and cheaper than any net.

Dogs should be restrained in any vehicle if not in a crate.

Go to Amazon.com and search "mesh doors for jk" and you'll see em' for $79.
Good luck!

thanks for the replies....the amazon search just comes up with mesh net add-ons for half doors unfortunately. I think I'm going to go to Canadian Tire and try to make something from scratch from some generic cargo netting. hey, my first mod !!

You can always get some cargo net and bungie it around the roll bars. Wally's has canopy ties that are 4/$2 they fit perfectly around the roll bars and would work well to hold the net in place. Or..... buy a roll of pet screen from Lowe's and if you know someone who sews, have it hemmed and put some grommets through it to bungie it to the bars, but not really sure how you'd anchor it at the bottom if you are talking about having doors off.... Hmmmm, gonna have to think about this, two door or 4 door?

4 door....and I ended up using the rear door hinge and the seatbelt attachment point in the floor as the lower anchor points...works great !

Thanks for the input, all

Sorry but PLEASE do no do this with dogs.

They can get wound up really easily in elastic netting and choke to death in 2 minutes or less.

A quick run into the bank and it's over for Rover.

Leash wrapped around roll bar and body harness is the same thing I do with my dog on and off road, she loves it...
