Two-door problems. It annoys the hell out of me whenever I look back there. I can't even stick some velcro or even hot glue it because its lined with a felt backing and it would just flake off after some time.

Wait .... Somebody switched my shocks and my sig dirt bags.
Haha My thoughts are in my build thread.

IIRC somebody used those snap things you can get at a hardware store.

Not a hijack- but supposedly one of the Jeep liner companies is releasing their carpet replacement for JKs this spring. Should have a rubber liner option. Get rid of that stupid dog fur Velcro all together.
3m also makes a spray adhesive that should work for your application perfectly. Sticks to everything- might be tough to rip off later if you wanted to however.

Bed rug makes a carpet replacement kit. Costs like 700 bucks though. but you can soak it in bleach or motor oil for 5 years with no damage. Or sulfuric acid but not 5 years. Lol.

if there was something similar for half that price id get it.

I think the snaps would work great. Get them from a marine shop.

Be4st advice in this thread. You don't even need to line-x. Just leave it bare with Q-tec liners, it looks great that way.

Ah, no. But hoping it might be cheaper plus once someone releases it there will be more to follow. Don't care about the dirt- but my gold colored mutt's fur sticks to that carpet like crazy. Doors off, top off, its like a Hairicane in there. (I'll be here all week).
Gonna bedline it this summer. Figure if it looks like crap i'll just put the carpet back down. The Qtech liner makes taking my seat in and out a PITA so not going to go that route.

Im going to bedline mine myself when it gets warm enough. Ill still use carpet most of the time. The carper just looks good.

Apparently that shop tried to sell me something that doesnt exist. Or maybe they know something the manufacturer doesnt.

I actually had the oppurtunity to buy a jeep with a vinyl floor when i got mine. That crap gets icky though. Our big rigs have it. Impossible to clean

I went ahead and just yanked the carpet this weekend. After 3 different vacuums I still couldn't get the fur out. Gave up.
I now have my Qtech liner on the bottom like someone suggested. I like the look but the mutt will scratch the wheel wells. Rather than bedline I am going to try a 3M liner. I don't have to sand or prep anything and I can peel it off.
I don't know it if was Bed Rug but at SEMA someone mentioned 2012+ would be released this summer. Who knows....

My carpet flips up near the doors in the back. It's suppposed to tuck under the hard plastic but pops out. I hate it.

Mine too!!! Aarrrghhh it pisses me off.

It happened this weekend for the first time. I'm running doorless and on the interstate my driver side carpet flips up along the wheel well and rear door area.

I'm going to apply some Velcro underneath to see if I can make it stick.

That 3M adhesive I mentioned is Super 77. Friend is currently replacing all the carpeted panels in his car (not a Jeep; a car). Sticks to metal or plastic.
Or Velcro....

Thanks. I'll try. You'd think for the price of these things they could spare an extra inch of carpet

Thanks for the tip JH on the 3M Super 77 spray adhesive.

I'll pick a can up from HD tomorrow and nip this carpet problem in the bud.

Who doesn't love pictures?

Lou.. let's find a Long Island group buy on Line X. We'll do all the prep work and then find a place that will do all our jeeps at once.

Honestly fellas, line-x is of course best, but it's super expensive and you really don't need that kid of durability in your cabin.

Head over to a local body shop and get a quote for whatever durable matte black paint job they'd recommend. You might find that option to be far cheaper and just as effective or your purposes.

I had my JKU bedlined with GatorHyde for $750, that included them doing all the prep for it. It was $600 if I did the prep, I just didn't have the time that week and they had an opening. Worth every penny though.
