CB Radio Placement

My first mod! Yea it's just a cb radio..but its still my first...

I'm still trying to decide between the Cobra 75 and Cobra 29. For those of you with fullsize cb's...where did you put it in your JK?

I have the smittybilt gear overhead console. I bolted my cb to that as close to the windshield as I could. Right about the rearview. I'm thinking about moving it ti the middle of the overhead console though.

I found an eBay vendor that makes rail that runs between top of the roll cage and bolts to the holes in it.Pretty good quality. So my CB is mounted above and a little in front of the rearview mirror

What did you search for on ebay to find the bracket you found. I was wondering how to mount mine also and that bracket sounds like the answer I have been looking for . Thanks

I went with the Cobra 75 because I didn't want some big box around the Jeep!! Just not enough room. Under the glove box there is a small plastic panel that is easily removed, I mounted my stuff to the metal bar inside there and punched a hole in the small plastic panel for the connection. It is also easy to remove the glove box to make it extra easy to install everything.

Then I bought the custom antenna from cool tech that mounts in the back license plate.
