Your best bet is junkyard hunting and finding an OEM one. There is the Tuffy security console, but that is $400+ and rather heavy. I paid $50 for my OEM take-off console.

Also, welcome to the board! Congrats on picking a JK, too Mark W.

I have the same cheap console in my 08 X 6 sp. I absolutely hate it!!!!! I want the nicer one, but the bone yards around here only sell the JK as a whole when they get them in. If anyone in or near Norhteast Pa. knows of a junk yard that has one please let me know. thanks

I made mine using the after market pad for the full console and 3/8" plywood. The after market pad exactly matches the interior. It has an 1.5" flange on the bottom on either side with two 1/4" holes. Cut the plywood 12" high about 10" wide on top and 12" wide on the bottom. Bolt the plywood on the outside of the flanges and you have a little stool that will slide between the seat and the console. Don't paint the wood until after you have tested the arm rest because you may want some changes. If you do a good job sanding and painting it looks good and feels great.
