Changed my oil ,now a vibration sound behind dash?

Just did my 2nd oil change on my 2012 JK and noticed a vibrating sound coming from engine area by passenger side. You can't hear it unless you gas it a little , around 2000rpms. I've been going insane last few hrs trying to figure it out. Everything under the hood seems tight and took out the glovebox and everything there is ok too. Could it be the new WIX oil filter I put in today? I have a Aem exhaust and airaid intake but those have there for 3mos and no issues. Whatever it is happened today after my oil change. Any help would be much appreciated. Want to avoid going to dealer in fear they might void my warranty

The only thing I can think of that might cause a vibration after an oil change is not snapping the engine cover or correctly.

This just happened to me on my 2012, it ended up being the passenger side heating vent that is under the dash, one of the clips that hold it together had broke and the dealership just ordered me a new vent piece. Hope this helps you.

^ thx guys. The engine cover is on tight , could be that heater clamp thing.

Was driving to the dealer today and it wasn't making the noise. Decided not to go in and look like a crazy man hearing a imaginary sound. On my way back home it started again :-/ ... Going back in the morning

The dealer won't help you if you have an intake and are complaining about a dash/engine rattle. They'll see that aftermarket tube and say bye-bye.

Did you put oil in after draining the old?

Yeah I drained it completely before adding the new oil. I've read on this forum that intake/exhaust are ok with the warranty unless they can prove that's the cause of problem. I hope that's the case

It might be ok.. but.. once you're blacklisted then you're blacklisted. I wouldn't risk it, especially with the Pentastar still teething (Heads were fixed after 2012 but what happens as it all ages?)

Don't sweat it. Some dealers won't even care. One of my local Jeep dealers even sells/installs intakes and exhausts for Jeeps.
