Changing slave cylinder on 2007 jk still leaking pics included

My slave cylinder was bad so I ordered a new one and installed it then it began leaking from the point where the hydraulic hose connects to the slave cylinder.

I noticed that there was an o ring in the old slave cylinder that wasn't in the new one. So I took it out and put it in the new slave cylinder. I was then told that the o ring goes in the hydraulic tube.

So I'm tryin to figure out if the hydraulic tube is bad. Here is a pic of the tube end it looks to be missing plastic but I don't know if its supposed to be like.
