Talking Changing Tops-2012 Wrangler Unlimited

My JK came with two tops. This past Sunday I started converting from the hardtop to the soft-top. Four hours later and a trip to the dealer, I had it done with the help of two Rubicon friends. They both said they have never seen anything like the installation of the soft-top. The instructions from Jeep in the owners manual are about putting up/taking down but not installation. Well it's on and looks good but I don't look forward to reinstalling of the hardtop.

Anyone else suffer thru this for the first time? Do I need to plug the rear washer line that I disconnected?
