Doesn't look like it has pre-outs so you wouldn't be able to connect an amp directly, but at that price with that feature set, especially given it's made by Metra so it presumably either comes with or has integrated into it their wiring harness, it looks like an absolute bargain.

I would have a quick look to see what the general views are on the Navmate software (I'm not familiar with it, but that doesn't mean much), but unless the concensus is that it's an unusable dog of an application I think that you're going to struggle to find a better budget entertainment system than that.

No experience but if you are looking to purchase, these deals only tend to stay on this site for a couple of days. Once they sell out, they are gone.

Looks like the manufacture is answering questions in the forum for the site now.

Looks like they're including the SWC module but not the wiring harness, which makes sense given the number of different vehicles it could go into. Budget another $50-60 for that.

Actually, Metra says "will work on 2007-2013 Jeep Wranglers"

I like the garmin interface better myself, but this seems like a great deal for some.

Reading the woot blog it appears it is not Sirius/xm
ready unless you stream via your phone and the Sirius app.

It's only 4-channel. We have 6 in our Wranglers.

$20 for a pair of cheap passive crossovers will fix that easily enough.

It will replace most of the UConnect functionality with its own version; you can retain use of the steering wheel controls with the exception of the phone button (which you can reprogram to do something else), the factory mic will be replaced by the new head unit's own mic, and the USB in the centre console will no longer work - the Metra unit has a USB slot on the front.

So the ASWC-1 doesn't replace the call button with the integrated bluetooth system in the head unit?

How is the factory USB port in the centre consol routed, does it hook up in the back of the OEM headunit, is it easy just to swap that USB cable into the new headunit?

Thanks.

I don't believe so, but my Jeep didn't have the connectivity group in the first place so I don't have the phone buttons on my wheel and am only going on what I have read here.

I imagine that the USB in the centre console is cabled into the back of the factory HU; the issue is likely to be the lack of an appropriate input at the rear of the new HU. It has an integrated USB port on the front, so it's unlikely to have a connector for another on the rear, or to have a secondary USB cable into which you could splice.
