I am not a big fan of supporting the cheap stuff, but in the case of off road secondary lights perhaps to save well over $1000.00 I will make an exception.

1. First I tried the Eyourlife 50" LED light bar for $100.00. it is incredibly bright and appears to be of pretty good quality. I have pulled it off the Jeep because it is too loud. Other than that...good product.

2. I decided to try the Chinese ARB Intensity knock offs for $249.00 on eBay. Again fit and finish seems pretty solid. I have compared with the ARB Intensitys and I would swear the (parts) are made right next to each other.

These things are super bright and way brighter than the IPF HID lights I originally had on the front. For $249.00 Im going to have a hard time justifying the ARB Intensity lights which may be better...even if I have to replace these every year or so (not likely) these will be worth it.

I find it interesting how some with the Eyourlife 50" have a lot of noise and some almost none. I'm of the latter. The only time I can hear mine is on the freeway with a really good crosswind. Even then it's a low hum and intermittent.

What kinda of mount are you using for it?

I have bought quite a few Chinese things that are exactly the same as the branded ones, but at a fraction of the cost. As we know, just about everything is made in China. I think what happens is that someone at the factory manages to get batches of stuff and sells them on the side. What you don't get is nice pretty packaging and a logo sometimes. Well, you also don't get a warranty, but I personally have not had any issues with their stuff or getting replacements. One good example was a "Mopar" fuel door kit. Got mine from China and it's exactly the same one as my friend's dealer bought door. He wasn't happy after I told him how much I paid. Another example was a Boyo rearview mirror LCD camera display my wife bought me for Xmas. She paid $300 for it at Sears and I'm glad I opened the present early. I bought the exact same mirror (including the camera which the Boyo one did not include), for 90 bucks. Returned the Sears one and I could swear that both mirror assemblies were exactly the same. Really nice packaging on the Boyo one though. LOL

There are some things you can get away with going that route. For me it was the 50" LED and the brackets. No way am I paying $1700 for lights. That being said I have Metalcloak, LOD, SPOD, and PowerTank components which are all made in the U.S.A. which was a selling point for me.

Maby it's the way the light is angled and I herd with a soft top it can cause alot more buffering noise

I can get photos but the weather seal latterly just plug or clips into the cooling fins on the back of the light, 30 second install including cutting to length.

If I wanted to go with an inexpensive wiring kit and use a single ARB rocker switch on one of the OEM blanks what would be a good kit? Are the wiring ends on these light just standard exposed or do they have plugs like the ARBs? Trying to spend as little as possible doing it the right way.

Thanks, may give the spots a try and will follow suit with the connectors. Saw some sellers are advertising the 185watt 9" and some the 96watt 9". Think the 185s may be too much draw. I'm also going to have to figure out if I have room on the bumper under/in front of the bull bar when it gets here this weekend. Appreciate the help and post pics with what I come up with.

Those look great. I'm thinking of buying half a dozen of them before ARB sues like Omix is doing to Razer.
I have Chinese LED light bars on my Polaris Ranger, that gets used hard year round, but really gets is ass kicked in the winter plowing. I bought them in 2012, the Ranger lives outside, 24/7, and the lights have no extra protection. They don't leak, and have never failed.
I agree with they are all made overseas, and branded with different company names.

It is easy to say the Chinese products are the same but they are not. Business colleague of mine said Chinese R&D was Ripoff & Duplicate but that is not how they do it. Cheaper parts are substituted that are not safety tested or certified and never should be used in the environments they are sold in. Even when manufacturing for a big brand with strict quality guidelines the initial quality is great but unless checked often they start sliding in lower quality parts to make extra profit. You can't get around basic economics so to get huge price drops you have to stripe as many costs out of the equation as possible- your workforce (children and sweatshop conditions), testing and safety (no need because when things go bad we are on to something else), parts (the cheaper the better). Engineering (we don't need no stinking engineers), no marketing or packaging because we will sell through the Internet on places like eBay where you can come and go very quickly. Lots of great things happen with these practices hover boards setting houses on fire, counterfeit make up causing burns and scars, shelving racks in warehouses collapsing because cheaper replacement parts are sourced by cheaper fly by night companies. Ripoff and counterfeit products are not a victimless crime but hey the important thing is you get to save a few bucks. Now back to wire you wire up those fire hazards.
