CHR550 Lockpick video issues

I finally decided to buy a lockpick, but after getting it installed I can't get the video to play through the ipod.

I am far from an Apple person and bought a ipod nano/mini I think. Its small rectangular with a screen on it. Its about 2-3 years old as I bought it at a garage sale to use when I go running. Anyways I can never get it to display on the radio.... I can hear it and control it from the steering wheel controls, but no video.

I read someplace on here that you may need to swap out the Brown wires and I did that, and same thing. Everything else still works fine (DVD, NAV) just no ipod interface.

I did look and there is no firmware update for the ipod, so thinking maybe its just too old to work with the lockpick??

I have checked and rechecked the connections and pins and all is tight and straight.

Also can I play a dvd that just has a bunch of .avi videos on it or does it need to be a legit dvd format?

Thanks,

Ken~

The CHR550 seems to be pretty buggy (compared to the v.4/5) from some of the posts around here...good luck.

I guess I should have done more research but I thought the CHR550 was the best of the lockpicks to chose from. It comes with the most options.

O well at least the main things that I need work like Nav while driving and DVD. Just have to see if I can burn my .avi TV shows into a DVD next to play.

Thanks,

Ken~

I don't have one yet but the site does say that the video does not work if the iPod is updated to ios6. It's an Apple thing that they locked out as usual. Do you have cameras installed? How do they work?

I just installed the MyGig yesterday ( got rid of the Navtool) with the Belva 221 which is the one they recommend.

I did have one issue on my back up camera.

I emailed them directly to see if they can resolve it. No word yet but is is a weekend so I will wait until Monday to hear from them.

I also have 2 side camers too install

Did you get your refund from Navtool yet? I'm going on 3 weeks now & still waiting. E-mails to them going unanswered as usual.......
