In my quest to break out of the mold and not have my Jeep look like every other Jeep out there, I thought I would take a page out of the old school Jeep look and go with white wheels. I found some really cool wheels while looking around online from a company called Wheel Vintiques. I ordered them from Summit Racing and had them in no time. I had to grind the caliper a bit to fit the 15x8 wheels, they barely made contact. They come in primer finish so I had a local paint supply store mix me up some Stone White enamel and put it in spray cans for me. I love how it came out, and they are very affordable and match my Jeep perfectly!
Here are some of my favorite shots that a friend of mine was able to take the other day.
Brings back the memories of my white spoke wheels on my first cj7 back in the late 70,s I wish I had a picture, it was a bright orange Levi model with 37 inch tires. I dropped a v-8 ford motor in that jeep it was awesome !!!
Steelies! Full on retro!! The Goodyears really fit the look.
It reminds of the wheels on an old Wagoneer my GFs family had. When they retired it, I always wanted to adapt them to my CJ but the bolt patterns didn't match and adapters were not common ... This is back in the day when we all walked 20 miles to school each way in the snow ... backwards and barefoot
I love the old hubcaps! Would go perfect with my Flame Red. The white on white is a looker for sure!

Back in the day white wheels were all the rage. I had white steel wheels ( like the black Cragar D window or soft 8) on my black 78 power wagon. You couldn't buy black wheels back then.
That would prob look good on any color.
