Clean...but not clean

Might be just the fact that I've driven a black car for the longest time so it took awhile before I notice it dirty.

But, to anyone out there. Does you jeep get dirty (extiror) like the next day after washing it from doing nothing but a normal drive?

Mine seems to do that. I just washed it sunday & I already notice it being dirty. Happen the sunday before as well. Very sad since I spent all that time cleaning it and what not.

Black is the worst for showing dirt. I drove my black Jeep home from the dealership (8 miles?) and it was dirty.

Then again, it takes a strong person to drive black.

It takes me all day to get mine real dirty sometimes and then the rain just washes everything I've done off!

Knew I'd seen it somewhere! Pretty sure you posted it in another thread...I remember thinking "how military."

Not an insult. Kinda unique.

I had it posted in... The last person to post in this thread wins, and in my 'my jeep gets me dates' thread cuz I was excited about my new top. I like the color... Cept when I try to buy paint to match things.

the paint to match everywhere only does the rescue green, I could use it, but its off just enough where it'll drive me nuts and if I'm paying that kind of money for fender flares and stuff I don't wanna regret my purchase.

Explains the gjg handle.

Don't really know about the late night threads (seen em, but never participated). What do you do for a living, if you don't mind my asking?

I'm a photographer. Shot a story a few years ago at an animal emergency hospital. Lotta other photos, but they're in my archive, and I might not be able to post them 'fore you fall asleep.

One I've got on my computer. One of my buddy.

Got bit by one over a year ago, don't know why. But can't get reused to the breed, plus, the last two I've had at the kennel were butt heads so they're not helping what I think of the breed. Lol

Like any dog, they're an extension of their owner. If someone's an asshole, theyre likely to have an asshole dog.

IMO.

Went for a run on the weekend to one of my old favourite haunts, only to find the damn track has been upgraded to the point you can drive it in a go kart now... 20km of windy dirt road that was very dry. by the time I got home the damn thing was covered in a nice thick layer of dust, both inside and out.

Gave it a good clean down then decided to try hitting everything with a recommendation from this forum - Turtlewax Ice liquid wax. Very, very impressed. paintwork is perfect, plastics are perfect and the soft top has never looked that good, even when new!

I found if you dont wash the jeep, the mud and dirt seem to hide the trail strips very well!

WAY OFF SUBJECT!!!!

I get that you peeps love the dirt on your jeep. I wouldn't mind if I was the one doing it rather than it just walking it's self up to the jeep & sitting it's ass there.

So if I ain't the one getting it dirty, I sure as hell is going to keep her purty, LoL!

I didn't think waxing the plastic covers/hardtop would be good for it? So the wax won't hurt the those parts at all?

Why I'm so anal about keeping it clean is because I bought her new. Worked my ass off to get her & been through a lot to get a new vehicle. Kinda let the washing of my previous vehicle just go to hell & that damage the paint on her. So I don't want to do that to my jeep.

As someone recommended on here from a posting I put up about washing supplies. I bought maguiars product. Seems like a good product so far. But like I mention. I'm use to driving a black car for so long that it took a long time to notice the dirt on her. Now I have a lighter colour, pearl green, so like the next day so starts to look dirty.

I'm with you peeps on getting the jeep dirty, built for fun! I just want to be the one dirtying her mind
