Cliffrd's Homecoming Photo

My wife named the name new rig Clifford. Here is his first photo upon arrival at the house. I know there are some of you purist that aren't into the color matching top and fenders. I have had a 1989 Wrangler Soft stripy model because that is all I could afford in college. It went through the Rubicon 10plus times, I did 140,000 miles in the Jeep. I loved every mile, well most except a few freezing rides home but loved all the rest. 1999 bought a Wrangler and that wife (EX) didn't like it so we got a 2000 Grand Cherokee V8 Quadra Drive. Only put 50K on that. Fast forwrad to today, and this is my new Rig. Can't wait to lift it and put on some 35" KM2s.

That looks awesome! It looks great with the matched roof and fenders in red. Some colours....not so much. But red...yes!
Enjoy it.

Not a big fan of color matched on some colors as it can become TOO MUCH color, but I have to say that red looks pretty good!
Also like the "Clifford" reference, my grand son's favorite books.

Your wife named that Jeep perfectly, Clifford. Well done. I like red, nice choice.

Enjoy your jeep.

Have u decided on a lift yet just did the aev 4.5" and I love it!!! Also think about strengthening the front end by getting a sleeve and gusset kit so u don't run into any problems.

For now, I am going with the Teraflex 2.5 spring kit. Exhaust spacer and the Synergy F911 bolts kit. I like the Teraflex expandability and plan to add the long arms as I go.

You bought the exact same Jeep as mine with two additional doors.

Sniff. I remember when mine was that clean (37 days/294 miles ago).

Thanks for all the nice remarks. I have decided, after getting the rig in my driveway, for now I will install a Teraflex budget boost. 2" spacer in front and 1 inch in the rear. Only to fix the factory rake. I am going to wait and in hopefully a few months, acquire the Teraflex LCG 3" lift kit and 35" mud terrains.

That is a very nice looking jeep! It is probably a good thing that the dealerships between Orlando, Tampa, and Sarasota didn't have one like that or I would have driven home in it! That would have pushed the wife from unhappy about the new car payment to pi$$ed!
