Clock losing time

Anyone else noticing they need to set the time every couple months. Seems the clock is losing about 1 minute a month. Weird but today it was a couple minutes behind again. It's the clock that is part of the Sirius radio.

Had the Jeep about 6 months and this is the third time I've had to set it when it was a couple minutes slow... Could be the wifey playing games with me but I don't think so.

Everyone knows that jeep clocks are only accurate if they get bounced around and turned to at least a 40* angle at least once every couple of weeks.

YES... my wife noticed that. I didn't notice because I don't use it for accuracy, just general time. She however is very observant... and notices small things like that.

Have you been circling the globe really fast opposite the Earth's rotation?

Interesting ... I'll probably mention it when I go in for the next service, just in case it's a known issue.

No but we do drive in circles quite a bit Maybe we need to switch direction occasionally!

I have the SIRIUS radio as well and I've had to bump it up twice in the month I've owned it. I also don't think I've ever heard a song entirely through without it trying to acquire a signal.

^ Mine's still consistent with losing one minute a month. Will see what they say on the next service.

As for the Sirius, that does sound like a problem... The only time we get that is in the garage or just very randomly while driving.

I know this is an old thread, but I'd like to add that they have changed my clock module three times (still under warranty) and they say this IS a known issue and they are looking into the problem. Mine loses about a minute a week.

mine loses a minute a month... like clockwork... the dealer said that it's very common, and said the "canned response" is that they're working on it, but told me not to hold my breath...

I have had to keep resetting the clock on my 2010 ever since I got it. Interesting to find out that it is a common problem.

I have it happen in my jeep and the chevy it replaced. I have noticed it only does it in the hotter months with affects the resistance in electrical wires. That's about where my theory ends. But since it has cooled down in Charleston, my clock has not been doing it, just like when I had my chevy.

Hey just about out of my 36,000 mile warranty and wondered if anyone had this resolved?

They did replace the radio about 6 months ago but the new one does the same thing.

Thanks!

About a minute every couple of weeks. But I live inside the D.C. Beltway, which is totally separate from normal time, space and common sense.
