Well put. Thanks!

It will all be worth it in the end. Sucks ass until then, though.

Yeah, really. Four rail car derailment and on their side 25 miles away the day mine was meant to be delivered. I was convinced mine was in one of those. Turns out it was still in Michigan and would be for another week even though they kept saying I would get it "today". "Today" was 3 weeks later.

For those of you not in the 2014 JK Waiting room, check this out. It's an easy way to get your VON/Full VIN if you don't have it already. It also designates the Status letters that we all know and love/hate:

1) When going to VOTS using the chrome browser:
- Hit ctrl-shift-c.
- Click on the magnifying glass to get rid of the mouse selection state.
- Select the network tab in the newly appeared area.
- Hit F5 to refresh the page. (With the network tab open, Chrome will collect all the network calls.)
- One of the calls is "VOTSServlet." Select that
- Select the response tab.
- You'll see all your data in the JSON format. There is no need to understand JSON. Look for "cStatus." Right next to it is your order states: D1, KZM etc. Then search the forum for the look up table of those statuses. It sometimes provides more detail than the page shows...

Thanks, ACal. I just used it to get my full VIN. I know the instructions reference Chrome but I was able to get it to work with Firefox but not Internet Explorer.

Yes, watch the YouTube video on properly folding your top. Looks like you need to tuck it in better.

X2. It's all about the tuck. Make sure you're creating the "z" pattern when you have it half off and then follow that pattern as you drop it.

Of course, I can't even drop my top all the way cause I have a broken rear window...

I just got in from driving to CT. The portion just under the trim ring is leather or something similar to the steering wheel. It is textured and feels nice to me. Directly below that is a beveled hard plastic ring tapering to the stick. The "leather" part is fairly narrow, but it's there.

If you mean grab handles, then yes, but they are not velcro.

Aaaahhhh!!! I didn't recognize your VIN in your signature when you posted in my build thread! I thought I picked up another new reader.

I have to agree, I like your new username much better. I added the Tinkerbelle to my avatar because people, even with the username StarBrite, still thought I was a dude.

I knew you'd figure it out, Star! I din't want to spam up all the threads with my "news". Thankful to the forum moderators for letting me make a change from what I had set up in haste a few years ago!

Thanks I ordered 3/15, which was four weeks ago today...so order was activated on St. Paddy's Day. Went to D1 on 3/20 and waiting (a little less patiently) ever since!

Yesterday when picking up our daughter at school, I was sandwiched between two Jeeps. Still have not seen a Willys on the road though!
