Ordered JKU Willys W on 1/21. Supposed ship date of 2/14. Still in D1 as of now.

Granite, Hard Top, Alpine, Manual Trans. Trading in an 09 2 door Sahara. Really did not need a Rubi, but did not want another Sahara or a Sport. This was a great in-between choice for me. Love the look of the granite with the black accents. I think I might do the black lug nut look as well. Probably going to order a Trektop NX, put on some more lights and put on a trailer hitch for my oversand outings. Other than that- no real plans for any upgrades for the time being. Can not wait!

Well played, sir. Well played! Smart

It's important to remember guys...There is no ' in the Willys name as it's not a last name.

Chase, what are the specs of the new ride? Looks like I ordered the most popular color package on the Willys!

And to further clarify/confuse, it's pronounced wil lis or wil es, with a soft "i" or "e" sound. I'm in the south, so while I have pretty good diction, I've only ever heard it said in a southern accent. I just know it's not pronounced like something owned by a guy named Willy.

For further fun, a similiar r/c vehicle, and FAR more appropriate for this thread, was the old Wild Willy vehicle. If I recall, they shared a chassis and the driver, but had different bodies, body mounts and tires. And yes, that is a spring loaded front bumper. They rereleased about a decade ago, and I picked one up. Because of the battery mounting, it would pretty much run a wheelie for until it hit top speed, so it was a bit like trying to drive a shopping cart at best. Which means you ran into a LOT of stuff. It was a cute screw around vehicle. TERRIBLE off road, though because it was so off balance. Once it was up on two wheels, the center of gravity was literally almost behind the rear axle.

Nice pics, the black lug nuts make a huge difference. I'm going to have to pick some up ASAP.

Agreed! Can I just pick any up? Or should I go with something specific?

Forgot to ask those of you who have picked up your Jeeps. Does the Willys come with an all wather rear cargo liner as well?

Thanks!

Any good brand will work.
I went with Gorilla brand from Quadratec for $43, I had Gorilla wheel locks on previous Jeep and they worked out good.
Gorilla Automotive 41783Q-23 - Gorilla Automotive Products Acorn Style 3/4" Hex 1/2-20 Thread Wheel Installation Kit - Quadratec

McGard makes a set but they are $109

Mcgard 84563BK - McGard 23 Piece 1/2"-20 Thread Regular Cone Seat Lug Nut Installation Kit with 3/4" Hex in Black - Quadratec

I'll be sure to post pics as soon as it arrives cybernamics. I plan to keep it a long time & I've always loved red Wranglers so I know I won't get tired of it over the years. With that said, I love all the Willys colors I've seen on this forum so far (granite, anvil, & white) and hoping mine looks half as good as those when it arrives.

Thanks dood! Any reason I'd spend over double on the McGard?

I'm still in "production schduled", I ordered my jeep a week later than you, so maybe next week.

How long does it usually take for delivery once it enters "frame"?

Delivery depends on where you are and how many jeeps are heading in your direction. They fill up the train cars before they move. Then however long it takes to get there. Mine was supposed to be put on the rails yesterday and told me I could have delivery in Boston as early as Thursday. All of this is weather dependent. West coast and Florida can be over two weeks of transit

I'm in Pittsburgh. I'm on the Ohio turnpike once a week and see auto carrier trucks with wranglers heading east all the time so hopefully mine will be delivered by truck. Not sure if that matters though.

I was told the orders are submitted every monday, so I put in my request on 1/21, which means it was received at jeep on 01/27 (which is when I got my Jeep notification email). I am actually hoping it doesn't come until mid March. I am moving from DC to Northern VA in March and don't want to get it before I move for tax purposes (DC's 7% vs VA's 4%).

Welcome to VA! I just moved to Richmond from Chicago a little over a year ago. What specifically did you order?

Quick question for anyone who has picked up their Willys (non W package) with the 430 system. Do you guys have a USB outlet in the center console?

Thanks!

I don't qualify as I don't have one (yet), but if my understanding of what has been provided by Jeep is correct, because the Connectivity Group is standard on the WW it should have a remote USB...also the website lists "Remote USB Port" as a feature of the package.

Stalk them and take pictures of every color that hasn't been posted yet.

I believe we've all seen Anvil, Black, Copperhead, Granite, and White in actual pictures.

I'm wanting to see Hydro and Dune.

All that said I found a 2013 Rubicon w/1,700 miles on it about an hour and 1/2 away from me that I'm trying to make a deal on because it's Commando Green .

If you search for a vehicle after building it on the Jeep site, it also shows in transit vehicles.
