Clutch and Tranny Noise

New Guy Here.

I have new to me 2008 2dr JK. I've had it about 3 weeks now and the tranny has started to make a lot of noise, clicking when engaging the clutch, harsh clucks when shifting gears 1 to 3, 4 to 6 are ok. Also a lot of the time it wants to pop out of reverse and grind.
I took it to my local dealer and they said it's all normal for a jeep!!!! And they had very little interest in trying to fix it.

Has anyone else had these problems with their JK.

This is also my first jeep. So do jeeps just make a lot of clicks and clucks in general?

I still have warranty so if I could get this fixed I would like to get it done........

Thanks

Hell no. That dealer is insane, lazy, or stupid. Can't decide which. But does it really matter?

Damn straight. You have no idea what the prior owner did to that clutch. If you want, you can give your preferred dealer one more try by taking it back and insisting it be fixed. If he gives you the dodge again, go find another dealer--any authorized Jeep dealer can do warranty work.

And most dealers would jump at the chance to service one under warranty because it helps with cash flow.

With respect to the reverse grinding, I find that the detente to get into reverse requires quite a lot of pressure to get the stick over there and then some force to get it into gear. I have gotten used to doing it with a one two motion. So, the question is it solidly home before you come up with the clutch foot?

I'm taking the jeep back in Friday, I will see how they do, if they can't fix the clutch and tranny noise I will go to another dealer asap, my bumper to bumper warranty is up at the end of this month. That being said I also had my jeep in for steering problems. If you move the steering wheel at a dead stop or moving, side to side, it clucks before the tires start to turn. Dealer ordered a steering stabilizer to fix that. Does that sound like the right fix to you guys?

I love having a jeep but I wish I could go back in time and spend the extra money on a new one. When I test drove this one it all seemed good at the time, now it feels like it would fall apart if I took it out on the trails.

Thanks for your help
